The Austrian Vehicle Industry Association represents the interests of Austria's third-largest industrial sector. This sector ranks second in exports. Including supplier companies as well as upstream and downstream economic sectors, the Austrian vehicle industry employs about 368,000 people.
149 members operate in areas like automobile manufacturing (passenger cars, agricultural tractors), two-wheelers (motorcycles and bicycles), trailers and automotive components & parts (such as engines and gearboxes, exhaust systems, plain bearings, clutches, brake parts) as well as a variety of other skills, like engineering, prototype construction, and industrial vehicle repair.

Who’s who
The association is led by a board of directors elected by all member companies for a term of five years each. This board is part of the association committee, which contains 20 representatives. This committee is the highest governing body of the association and decides on different matters such as budget, economic promotion, memberships as well as cooperation with universities and colleges.
