Sofia Motor Show 2027

In 1993, a branch organization was established - "Union of Motor Vehicle Importers in Bulgaria" (SVAB), whose main activity is to protect the interests of its members, while at the same time helping to observe the principles of fair competition between importers of motor vehicles in the Republic of Bulgaria.

In order to respond adequately to the processes taking place in Bulgaria, the "Union of Automobile Importers in Bulgaria" changed its name in 2008 to the "Association of Automobile Manufacturers and their Authorized Representatives in Bulgaria" (AAP).

Since 1993, SVAB and subsequently AAP has been the organizer of the automobile exhibitions in Bulgaria. The city of Sofia hosts a national automobile exhibition, which, since 1999, has been included in the calendar of exhibitions of OICA / the International Association of Automobile Manufacturers / every odd year.

The first exhibitions were held in the "Festivalna" hall as the only suitable hall in the city of Sofia, but as the number of exhibitors and visitors increased, so did the desire for a new, larger building. Since 2001, the exhibition has been held in the newly opened "Inter Expo Center". The number of premieres is constantly increasing, and in 2003 the special guest is Mr. Rudolf User, president of the organizing committee of the OICA motor shows.
